Monday, July 26, 2004Hey folks.
Hey party people! I'm at my new house. I'm doing swell and have made some friends. ~EO I'm mailing out the mix soon, wait for it so yot can get my new addy.
Thursday, July 22, 2004Jaron is outThis one should be for alot longer than last time, and even though I have suspicions that Einars is the only one who reads this, I bid my friends (that I didn't see tonight) a fond farewell. Maybe a few days for some, few weeks for other, months for even more. Check all of you later, and if you get bored, be sure to check out the links at Einolu's Blog ^ In the link section. Wednesday, July 21, 2004Jump on the mixtape expressWhile I'm not sure that title made any sense, or had any relevance to the rest of the post, I'd like to share one of my mixtapes with you. This one happens to be called: "Depression takes it's toll" and it happens to go like this.... 1. Do you realize? - The Flaming Lips 2. Talk show Host - Radiohead 3. Invalid Litter Department - At the Drive In 4. Angel - Massive Attack 5. If I could - Simon and Garfunkel 6. Dog on Wheels - Belle and Sebastian 7. Compilation Blues - Sonic Youth 8. All we have is now - The Flaming Lips 9. Hurt - Nine Inch Nails 10. Slow life - Super Furry Animals 11. Pink Moon - Nick Drake This tape is to reflect a certain level of sadness, without making it worse, or trying to un-naturally covering it up with cheery music. Some songs go well with lyric themes, while some are just musically stunning for me. I'll also let you in on a new tape I am working on called {"No need 4our w3rds"-//-Instrumental}, it is pretty much just songs that are void of lyrics.
That is it for the time being, I've decided to finish the mix once I get more settled into my new house. Putting some more 'Lips tracks on, as well as dubbing some vinyl onto the mix. Tuesday, July 20, 2004Beer of the monthNow that I can legally purchase beer, I'll start a feature that I may never follow up called "Beer of the Month" The beer is called "La fin du monde" which means "The end of the world". It's 9 percent, which is pretty nice to get balls drunk, but there is alot harder beer. However, this beer is very refreshing and tasty compared to other hard beer which I have had in the past (Colt 45, Big Bear). As you can see from the picture linked to below, it comes in a very rad bottle that will impress drunk girls from across the world. Notes: Very strong, From Quebec, Canadian, awesome cork The end of the world! Sunday, July 18, 2004Back for a few daysI'm back from Lethbridge for a few days at least. I went down to Lethbridge to check out my new pad, and I must say it is awesome! 4 rooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen, all I need to live. So if you know anyone who needs a place to live in Lethbridge, then you be sure to inform them of a empty room near the University for rent. Sadly, I did not apply for any jobs, nor did I make any friends. I should be going up within the week, so I am going to try and make some friends and getting a job. My birthday was good fun and I think you good people for the nice comments. Jodi is awesome! Thanks for the drink. Props to Coates for being a nice guy, see everyone later. Wednesday, July 14, 2004Better late then NeverAlthough I'm bringing up the back-end of the 18th birthday celebrations in relation to my friends, I thought I'd just bring it up for the sake of blog. Hurrah for being 18, I went into the Adult section at the video store, bought some tobacco for my pipe and enjoyed a beer. Good times were had by all. Now I am off to listen to Pink Floyd while watching lasers. Tuesday, July 13, 2004The Holy grail of fake cowgirlsI saw Finger 11 today at the Stampede, which from the title of the post, is infact the Holy Grail of all hangout for fake cowgirls who wear really low jeans and lower shirts. Being a sucker for an attractive lady, I must say I almost enjoyed them more than the band. I guess that'd be abit shallow to say, as Finger 11 did their best job at rocking AND rolling. Although I could be a lot more impressed by the band musically, I think they put on an extremely good live show. Kudos to them. I may not post for awhile between thursday and the end of the month. I am moving on thursday and I'm not sure when I will get a chance to update this thing. However if I find a internet cafe or something of the sort I will be sure to post some pictures of my new house. Sunday, July 11, 2004Einolu is my FriendMy internet Pen Pal guy has taken some really rad pictures of Boston. I advise you to check out his Blog here There are some wierd ass people in Boston. Saturday, July 10, 2004I'm freakin' out man!!I just came home with 4 new LPs, probally in the best condition around and I got them each for 3 bucks.
I almost shit my pants when I saw "Dark side of the moon" in almost MINT condition! Excuse me for not posting more, I must be listening to my golden booty. Friday, July 09, 2004Just been kickin' aroundWent to Safeway today to get seasalt and saline solution. Ended up being clownshoes because the only bottle of saline they had was like a litre, and I only need a few drops a day for my pirecing. The seasalt is for soaking the holes to speed up healing. So far it is very odd just dipping my ear in warm water for several minutes on end. Very boring and wet, which aren't 2 things that go together. That is all for today, be sure to check out the links at the top, as they lead to things of good reading. I must now go to sleep, where I will only sleep on my back to prevent my ears from turning into bloody holes in my head. Wednesday, July 07, 2004Lobes hurt
Nothing too outrageous, but I think it looks rad. Props to Davey J on turning 18! Night ShotsI was wondering about town at around 11:30 to 12:15, and I took some pictures as inspired by my pal Einolu.

Shiny things make me happy Here is the directory for the pics Tuesday, July 06, 2004Fahrenheit 9/11I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 last night and I must say I liked it. It doesn't mean that the movie made me leave the theatre chanting "Death to the infidels! Death to Bush", but I really enjoyed the look at the war it took. Names and faces everyone can relate too, dead, dying or killing. For no REALLY justifiable reason, other than "GWB" says so. The movie also didn't make me shout "Michael Moore is the savior of the working class Democrat!", his "Bowling for Columbine" film was ok at parts, but Fahrenheit actually mimicked a REAL documentary. definitely this film won't be converting any Conservatives or Republicans, as most people come into a Michael Moore experience with their minds shut. However, it will be nice to see this movie sway the fence sitters a bit, or just the people who don't give a fuck to vote. I really would like to remind you that a movie can't think for you. Read something, talk to someone, or just listen and think, as a movie can't always show you all the facts. Monday, July 05, 2004Graduation picturesI've got some pictures for everyone, some taken by me, and I will also link to some good ones taken by some other people as the appear on the web. Directory Nice photoalbum with captions I'm sure more will arise, and if anyone actaully reads this, send in yours. Friday, July 02, 2004RecapWell, Holland lost, I graduated highschool, and Canada had a fun birthday. Not a ton to say, but I still have a feeling no one is reading the blog. Seems that if I write about nothing, people comment, but once I began updating with reviews, people stopped commenting. Sucks to that! I was told to put this in my blog: |
