Sunday, May 29, 2005Posting for everyday this WeekendI put up the playlist for my radio show from last Sunday (the 22nd), so if you heard it and liked something, there is now a list of everything I played. This week, my show was musically awesome, and it went better than all my runs technically. I actually figured out how to Cue songs in the headphones, while another song is playing on the air. It's pretty sweet that I figured it out myself. I was so afraid I was going to play two songs at the same time, I rock. If your name is Einars, get ready for a super package in the mail from me. If not, wish you were getting a super package from me in the mail, and be jealous. Later, Jaron W. P.s As of Monday, it is Einar's birthday. How did I forget? Saturday, May 28, 20053 dollars for 4 Crabs, pretty good dealTop of the morning to you all. It's a pretty nice day in Lethbridge, and I am mostly feeling fine. I went out last night, and did some mild partying with a friend from work. It was pretty cool, except we were started off in the Northside, and I didn't feel like leaving my car there, or sleeping at a complete strangers house, so I didn't drink enough to impede my driving ability. No offense to people who live in the northside, it's kind of quaint, but I just don't like crashing at stranger's houses. One of the people there was a piercist over at a local tattoo parlor, and really wanted to pierce my Septum. She told me she could do it at cost for me, however I had some drinks and it was late, so I decided to hold off on the whole thing, as I am not really even sure if it would look good. I know I thought about my ears for a long time before I pierced them, so I think I will have to wait a little while before I get my nose done. Any suggestions? Anyways, this is a good enough blog post for today... ~Jaron W.. Friday, May 27, 2005Is that your bird?I'm 3/4 done training at work, then I will be a full fledged High-Speed Internet trouble-shooter. Actually, we are called "Customer Account Executives", however we mostly teach people how to make their internet work. Since I last posted, I got some new ear plugs from Mr. Ryan Mumby. We ordered some sweet body jewlery from the internet and I am very impressed, so impressed infact that I almost typed "Gery" instead of "Very". Summer is coming together nicely if anyone is wondering and doesn't actively talk to me. Kristy came by to get some of her stuff, then swiftly went back to Airdrie to work at her great garden job. We mostly dicked around for a few hours and ate cake and stuff like that. You know.. the usual for Lethbridge. Anyways, short post from me and maybe another tommorow. Wednesday, May 25, 2005Lords of DogtownI have no idea what happened to my brain chemistry, but I am super pumped about "Lords of Dogtown". I never saw "Dogtown and the Zboys" (however I definitely mean to within the month) but I am thinking that this movie is going to rock and roll. The Trailer Is absolutely off the neezy. I got a pair of slip-on skate shoes today since I am in-fucking-love with these shoes. ![]() I would have preferred the "Vans" checkered slip-ons, mostly because Sean Penn wears them in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High", but I haven't seen those in Alberta yet. (Probably due to not looking very hard). I wasn't so pumped about these being at "Payless", or that they had that dragon on them, or the grip wasn't the "Vans" patented waffle grip. However I needed some shoes for work, and these were half price due to the fact that I bought the work shoes. I'm just working them in now, and I am really pumped for when these shoes are nice and worn in, bleached a light blue from the summer sun, and full of memories from all the places and things my feet will do this summer. ....Rock and roll.... Saturday, May 21, 2005Prime Time of your LifeThank goodness it's Saturday. I'm sitting around after a night of fun partying with Kenny, Kent and Booster. Those guys know how to have a good time, even if they had to ditch out on me this afternoon to go to some wedding. Whatever, having a good time only last a little while. I made some long distance phone calls on my cell to try and connect with my long lost friends in the Calgary area. Sadly, someone picked up the phone and decided to threaten to call the police on me for harassment or something of the like. Whatever, I think he was just upset because I was calling someone's phone at 12:15, and on a Friday night, everyone is trying to sleep. Being the drunk I am, sassed whoever it was and hung-up. Nobody threatens me. I'm doing my radio show tomorrow, so you should listen to CKXU.com at 3:00 pm mountain time. I'll be posting the playlist from my show last weekend within the day or so. I'm thinking that I will have all the playlists up by the Saturday before my show. Anyways.......? Tuesday, May 17, 2005Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla Pt 2Yes, I did infact rent this movie from zip.ca, and yes, I am watching it as I write. Godzilla's reign of terror has been going on for over 50 years and the Japanese government is hoping to put an end to him with Mechagodzilla. Sadly, it seems that Godzilla can never be put to rest, and that he is simply a integral part of the ever flowing circle of life. Putting money into the Japanese weapons defense, construction, and monster battle gambling. All over Japan, people win and lose hundreds of thousands of Yen each time Godzilla squares off against another huge monster. Sadly, too many people have been killed by Godzilla, and Mechagodzilla was the moral obligation of the Japanese government. In other news, my job is still going well, and the days have been speeding by. Rather than feeling like an entire day, it only feels like a couple of hours. It's pretty rad, since the first Monday seemed to take a whole week, and this Monday was Tuesday before I realized. It's really easy, as my ability to search databases quickly, and my expert computer knowledge make the training really simple. This kind of proves some problems, as finishing in front of the rest of the class leads to some boring down-time. Whateverly~ Jaron is out. Friday, May 13, 2005Mostly discontent with malcontentI wrote a review for "Songs for Silverman" over at the records portion of the blog, as well, I am now totally dead on the inside. I worked from 7 till 2:30 today, and now, for no reason other than my dire need for money, I go off to my job at Spin. Whoopee eh? My awake time for today will probably reach about 22.5-23 since I have to wake up at 5:45 to get ready for work. I really wish we didn't need to sleep, I could make a lot more money, and get a lot more done if we didn't. Maybe I should buy some stock in Red Bull, then eventually become the lead shareholder and demand free red bull on a regular basis, or run the company into the ground. I wonder if I could technically do that? Anyways, I have to go deposit my tax check, then buy red bull, then show up for my crappy job, which will thankfully be over very soon. Peace~ jW Tuesday, May 10, 2005Convergys is my new jobI got a new job at Convergys. It's pretty cool, since I make a lot of money, and I like computers. It really seems a little daunting though, I listened in on a call, and heard a pretty funny call. The lady had a problem with her internet, and the problem (which took about 8 minutes to resolve) was the result of her LAN cable being unplugged. How it got unplugged is beyond me, and why whoever did it, didn't fix it. Anyways, no one cares, Jaron W. P.s the new Weezer album came out, but I don't think I am going to review it since my opinion is retardedly biased. Sunday, May 08, 2005CKXU 88.3So my first solo mission was today. By mission, I mean radio show. Between 1:30 and 4:30, I was spinning tracks, and generally having a good time. Actually, it was only a good time, after the fact. During was one of the most difficult times of my life. I played the wrong song a few times, left the mic on during a song, played two songs with swears, and generally f'd up a few things. I was extemely nervous and pretty much stuttered my way through about 30 minutes of "banter". I wish I would have had more time to prepare, as I would have liked to give some information on the bands I played. I only really got to talk about a few things like Nick Drake and Elliot Smith. Whatever, better luck next time eh? I also did a tiny review for the latest My Chemical Romance album. So if you're into that type of thing, and haven't checked them out yet, read my review and check it out. Best regards, jaron =W= Friday, May 06, 2005Make my way back home when I learn to BlogWell today is Friday, in the PM to be exact. I filled out all my information at my new job and I start on Monday. This is big news, as I get a cool 10 bucks an hour, what's cooler than that? 11 dollars an hour, that's what. However, 10 is pretty good, so I am not complaining. I'll be making more in 2 days than I will in 2 weeks at my old job, which is sweetness. Einars made another mixtape, all about the rap music. It's really cool, and I suggest it even if you don't like 50 cent. (There is one 50 cent song at the end, but it's cool since all the other songs are good) I find it disheartening that he has released two mixes, in the time it has taken me to just release half of one. I wasn't super pumped about the reaction the first two tracks on "Ultraviolet Sound", so I took them out, but I had this strange feeling that I need to replace them. However, I think I am content with the mix and will OFFICIALLY release it to the public. However, to preserve quality and webspace, I will only release it on CDR. If you want a copy, e-mail me at Bananatree@gmail.com with you address and crap and I will try and spend my lonely nights here in Lethbridge mailing out mixtapes. With that I give you the cover for the "Gold master" of Ultraviolet Sound: For My Summer You'll notice that I've decided to dedicate this mix to my summer vacation. So if my new job turns out to be really high paying for a reason (like the fact that it crushes souls) I will be able to salvage the horrid trainwreck, with sweet music. Anyhow, this post is far too long. ~Best Regards, Jaron W. Wednesday, May 04, 2005Ooh Yeah, Full Time JobSo I got a full time job all lined up for the summer. Tech support city! That's not the name of the company, but that sounds like a intriguing name for one. I get to quit Spin, since I won't have a defined schedual that I can work around with another job. Makin' bucks and working with Kenny and Kent, I think this summer is going to be pretty awesome. Everyone reading this, Have a good summer wherever you are. Best Regards, Jw Tuesday, May 03, 2005Blah Blah BlahI'm writing a series of super short stories about a mysterious mission into space with a crew of seven young kids, and one strange pale man. It's in Blog form, so I'll be updating whenever I feel like writing and you can check it out and watch me progress. I really hope some of you read it, as I'd like some feedback about the story as it goes along. The first chapter, of the "Young Adventure Team" is available to read at http://adventure-team.blogspot.com Regards, Monday, May 02, 2005Yours Truly, Bounty HunterMonday is here, and it still feels great that there is no school. Although I have a interview type thing at a call centre here in Lethbridge. That'll be a damper on the whole "sleeping all day" deal I've got going, but money is money. I'm going to Airdrie after my "test", so if you are looking to party Tuesday night, then please wait for me to join the festivities. Regards, Jaron |
