Saturday, March 24, 2007My House, My HouseI have a ticket for Daft Punk in Seattle on July 29th, and I am freaking pumped! A road trip! I'm really excited, to commemorate this joyus occasion, here is a run down of the disco samples that were used in a few Daft Punk songs over the years. My favourite is "Robot Rock".Palms Out Sounds: Samples Wednesday (Daft Punk edition) Labels: funk, internet, music, road trip Sunday, March 18, 2007Leth gets Beat

Awesome stuff, please keep reading, and I hope that if you are looking for something, you find it. Labels: life Friday, March 09, 2007Chicken Burrito PizzaPossibly the true name of this is a Chimichanga, but who cares? Here is a recipe for an awesome pizza I invented! Ingredients: This is a very rough list of ingredients, because the size of the pizza depends on how much of everything you use. Also, if you want to use real chicken, I guess you can You savage. So take your crust out of the package, or spread it out in the pan and put down a layer of the beans. Then, drizzle some salsa over the beans. This will prevent your crust getting all soggy from the salsa. Next, add the chicken and the cheese in whatever order you prefer. I like having my toppings locked in, some like them on top. You choose. Finally, grate that cheese on the top, and heat it up. I used a Safeway crust, and cooked it at about 400F for about 8 minutes. That got it hot enough and melted the cheese. If you use real chicken, this will change the cooking time, and if you add more toppings, then it will change it in a similar fashion. The pizza tasted great, you should try it as well! I've listened to, and enjoyed "Deadringer" in the past, and was expecting some more samples, and an all around good disc to party to. However, after a first listen, the album sounds more like a porno soundtrack, than a collection of instrumental Hip-hop anthems. This is not a bad thing. This is in my opinion, possibly the best thing to happen to RJD2, an organic record. Granted, I've only given it a fraction of the listen I have give to "Deadringer", but I am liking the new sound. If you're a big fan, you may be a little disappointed, but then again, it's all up to your ears. Saturday, March 03, 2007It shouldn't be...But I'm having a terrible time deciding between going to Vancouver for a week to see LCD Soundsystem, or go to the Sasquatch music festival. I don't really want to go to the States all that badly, but I do really want to see Bjork, and the Beastie Boys. How can one decide? Labels: funk, holidays, music, road trip |
