Monday, December 31, 2007Best of 2007, or Bo2007A few things that were good for 2007: Beowulf was mega intense and entertained mindlessly. Darjeeling Limited was another warm hearted quiet epic from Wes Anderson, the movie spiritually changed by Owen Wilson's attempted suicide. Simpson's movie was good enough for a long time fan, could have been better, but a worthy effort. Across the Universe made me fall in love with the Beatles again, still could have been better, but great anyhow. Concerts: LCD Soundsystem, Daft Punk, Girl Talk, MSTRKRFT, Broken Social Scene, Modest Mouse, Bright Eyes, Square Waves, Bonnaventure James and the Deluxe Belgium. It was all so much fun, let's all work together for a wonderous 2008. A couple of my favourite songs from 2007: Labels: 2007, holidays, movies, music Friday, December 21, 2007Lifebystereo is deadLifebystereo is sadly in it's dying days. I'm refocusing, and putting my portfolio directly at the lifebystereo.com URL. I'll leave the archive up, if for some reason you want to read the old posts, but lifebystereo as you know it now will be no more after the new year. From now until then, I'll be posting rather frequently until I think of a new blog. Have fun! Monday, December 10, 2007Let's not forget the true meaning of the holidaysJeepers Creepers Semi-Star Labels: funny, holidays, humour, video Sunday, November 25, 2007Christmas!Christmas is coming very soon, and I think it's best to get your shopping done early. If you are like me, you enjoy giving much more than receiving. You love the way their face lights up orgasmically as they open your gift. Aswell, You like your gifts to be very person. No gift cards from you, you really give gifts inspired by love. When you give someone a gift that has your person "touch", you know that they are never going to forget. That's why, I as an amateur blogger, suggest you "splurge" for the gift that just keeps on coming. This is an amazing idea for a gift that would redefine the face of art and economics this christmas. Hard to shop for people in your life? What about people like your boss or your ex-wife's boss? As a business man, I think my boss would really appreciate Spermcube shares as a gift. With just a 5 euro investment, you could give them an investment that could potentially worth thousands! It's the give gift that keeps on coming. ![]() Labels: christmas, friendship, Gifts, holidays Wednesday, October 31, 200731stYes, I know I don't put much effort in to blogging anymore, and I am mostly talking to myself when I apologize for this lack of blogging. However, Halloween is here, and there is no shortage of fun things to talk about. They thought this guy was really dead, probably had some really good make up on I am sure. This is what I am dressing up as: ![]() A Christopher Walken Cutout mask! Labels: adventure, funk, holidays, links Tuesday, July 03, 2007Zen and Bicycle RepairSo I finally got my bicycle back from a friend who had it due to a series of strange events, but I must say that I am thrilled. My original bike was stolen and almost completely trashed due to being ridden in some sub-zero temperatures, and much harder than any Sport-Chek bike should be. I used to race BMX, so I'm pretty good at riding in a reckless manner, and I am sure that lead to the death of the bike. However the thief now has a broken bike. I however decided to try and balance some karma by stealing a bike from the university that had been tagged as "In violation of bicycle parking", and was long abandoned. I later found out the bicycle belonged to a friend of mine, and she gladly allowed me to steal it. Here is a picture of the bicycle in all it's glory. ![]() Ok, I know it's a girl's bike, but I don't care, it was free! I took off the front and rear fenders, as well as the back brake. The back brake was broken, and the fenders were rubbing. As well, it looks much cleaner now. So I am going to do some upgrades to make this the coolest thing ever: The reason for the question mark is the fact that riding a fixed gear bicycle can be extremely dangerous if not taken seriously. However, it is apparently very rewarding once you can get the hang of it. It will also let me remove the extremely antique gear shifter, and horrendously rusted gears. Think I can do it? I'm not too sure either. I have however found this resource online, and it seems I may just need to go wheel shopping. "How To Build A Fixed Gear Bicycle" Let's hope I don't die. I don't really want to go to the States all that badly, but I do really want to see Bjork, and the Beastie Boys. How can one decide?
